The story of Birreria Pedavena begins here. Luigi, Sante and Giovanni Luciani, three brothers originally from Canale d’Agordo (BL), start work on building their dream: a brewery.
The choice of location is not random, they really thought of everything: they decided to build it in Pedavena, rich in spring water that would give the beer unique qualities. In addition, it would have been close to major communication routes and in a convenient location for ice supply.
Fabbrica in Pedavena is born
1897
Construction is completed on February 17, 1897, with sacrifice, but also much satisfaction: the facilities and structure are perfect, and it is time to begin preparations for production.
On March 27, 1897, in a little over a month, everything is ready: the first beers are waiting to be tapped. Over time, the idea was also born to complement the brewery with a small meeting place for visitors: a wooden Tyrolean chalet where patrons could be given hospitality and enjoy Pedavena’s excellent beer. This was the embryo of what would later become the famous Pedavena Brewery.
The Factory gets a makeover
1937
The influx of tourists, travelers, beer lovers and the curious is ever-increasing: spaces, now, are no longer enough. Therefore, in 1937 the Pedavena Brewery facility was expanded by creating new spaces and frescoed rooms for entertainment and tasting.
Work on the brewery is being accompanied by the renovation of the production facilities, which will continue to bottle Pedavena Beer for many, many years to come.
The new management of Factory and Brewery
1998
1998 was the year of change: Lionello Gorza and his familytook the helm with new management marked by a lot of passion, care and dedication to their work.
Over time, spaces are renovated, expanded, and updated to meet the needs of what is now Italy’s largest brewery: new services such as a restaurant, events, park, and museum are added.
To this day, the Pedavena Brewery and Factory continues to host customers from all over the world as it did more than a century ago. The legacy left by the Luciani brothers has never been forgotten and lives on today in every sip of our beer.
The new headquarters in Mestre
2021
The idea of bringing the authentic and welcoming atmosphere of the historic Fabbrica In Pedavena to Mestre meant that in 2021, after months of work and passion, the new venue right on Ancona Avenue took shape. The goal was clear: to create a space capable of conveying the quality of Pedavena beer and the warmth of historic breweries in a modern key.
The venue is designed to be a place where every detail, from the carefully furnished spacious spaces to the gastronomic offerings, contributes to the authenticity of each experience.
With the passage of time, Fabbrica In Pedavena Mestre has become a landmark for those who like to get together, enjoy a good meal or simply enjoy a quality beer in a relaxed environment.
